The “Standards to Support International Trade: ISO 9001 & 14001 Training”, held from March 11 to 13, 2025, at the Residence of the British High Commissioner in Suva, brought together 20 business professionals eager to strengthen their understanding of international standards for quality and environmental management.

Organized by the British High Commission Suva in collaboration with the British Standards Institution (BSI) and the Women Entrepreneurs Business Council under the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation, the training provided invaluable insights into the ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) frameworks.

Over the three-day program, participants engaged in interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises to enhance their knowledge of:

✔ Proven Quality Management Techniques – improving processes, products, and services for business excellence.

✔ Key Environmental Management Skills – implementing sustainability measures to align with global best practices.

The training was particularly beneficial for business leaders, professionals in quality control and sustainability, and those looking to enhance their organization’s competitiveness in international trade.

By the end of the program, attendees gained a deeper appreciation of how ISO standards drive efficiency, customer trust, and environmental responsibility, positioning their organizations for long-term success.

The British High Commission Suva and BSI extend their appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to upholding global business standards.
